A Dog Park in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Hi everyone,

 

How long after an application and documentation are submitted does it take to get a response regarding membership?  I submitted my application over a month ago and I am still waiting for some sort of reply.  I walk by the park frequently with Leo and he lights up every time, but there is a gate in our way.  

 

I see other folks have had the same problem and wonder what resolution (if any) was reached.

Hi Kip,

 

Thank you for getting back to me, I really appreciate it.  But I did not send my application to the P.O. Box, I sent it via email.  The website mentions that for a faster processing one should send their application along with supporting documentation to the email provided(membership@jhcrew.org), which i did. 

 

Please let me know if there is anything else I should do.  And agian, thanks for getting back to me so soon.

I have issues with my application as well. I emailed all the scanned documents in order to speed up the process and I sent in all the documents to the PO Box with the check for the amount they requested and I have not heard a word. I even called and left a message and no one has gotten back to me. I feel really bad for my dog Guinness. He's an eight month old puppy and needs to play, socialize and exercise with other dogs and it kills me when we have to walk by the dog park and he can not go in. I really wish they could streamline this process a little better as it is not fair to the dogs to make them wait. As you know, the most decent dog park near Jackson Heights is all the way in Whitestone at the Little Bay Park. We have gone to the Astoria one -- atrocious -- Flushing Meadows -- worse -- Forest Park -- so so. Hopefully something will happen soon.

Mr. Montgomery will take care of you guys, he took care of my issue and i now have the new code. For whatever reason, whoever receives the e-mails at membership@jhcrew.org is

apparently not doing his part to print and file the applications, but it looks like Mr. Montgomery is on top of it...
I am glad to hear that since I just checked my bank statement and the check I wrote to the JHCrew has cleared the bank so I know my application was received however, I still do not have the gate code. Another week goes by and my puppy can't play.
